Antonio Brown Reportedly Working Out For The New Orleans Saints

Antonio Brown was in New Orleans and reportedly had a workout with the Saints. Brown said he is getting "back to business" and shared a photo of a free agent waiver form in a since-deleted Instagram post. According to ESPN's Adam Schefterthe Saints are doing their "due-diligence" because their star receiver, Michael Thomas, has been dealing with a hand injury going into week 17.

While Thomas is not expected to miss any time, and team officials do not believe the injury is significant, they worked out a group of receivers, including veteran free agent Maurice Harris.

Brown remains under investigation by the NFL for allegedly sexually assaulting his former trainer, Britney Taylor. The Oakland Raiders cut Brown after a tumultuous off-season, which included a grievance over his helmet and a public spat with the team's general manager. He was signed by the New England Patriots but was cut after playing just one game when Taylor filed a lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault.

The NFL launched an investigation but decided not to place Brown on the commissioner's exempt list while he was a free agent. The league cautioned teams that Brown's status could change if he signed a contract before their investigation is complete.

"If he is signed by a club, such placement may become appropriate at any time depending on the status of the investigation," the league said in a statement in September. "Upon the conclusion of the investigation, he may also be subject to discipline if the investigation finds that he has violated the law or league policies."
