I predict this is going to be a VERY popular option and GMC really gets a leg up on the competition with this tailgate! It works as a step to get into the bed. It's also a great 'load stop' if you're hauling something long enough that requires the tailgate be in the down position. I expect the other manufacturers are going to have to go back to the drawing board and redesign their tailgates to keep up with this!
