Apollo 11 Tapes Could Be Worth Millions

Videotape of the Apollo 11 Moon landing could land the owner of that video up to two million dollars. Former NASA intern Gary George paid 217-dollars for the tapes at a government surplus auction in the 1970's. Auction house Sotheby's reports that these unrestored, unenhanced and unremastered tapes are, "the earliest, sharpest and most accurate surviving video images of man's first steps on the moon." The tapes are expected to be the biggest draw at Sotheby's Space Exploration auction on July 20th, the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing.
